WCU sweeps player of the week awards
Keith Flaherty had an outstanding weekend at the plate for West Chester, finishing 8-for-11 with a pair of homers, four doubles, and eight RBIs. The Danville native is hitting .577 on the season to go along with three homers, 14 RBIs, and a 1.761 OPS. 

On the bump, Joey Sperone tossed seven scoreless innings against the University of the Sciences on Sunday and scattered four hits while collecting six strikeouts. He's now hurled 11 scoreless innings over two starts to open the season while posting a 0.36 WHIP. 

The Rams have been dominant through six games, outscoring opponents 79-10. 

The club will be back in action on Friday when opening a four-game stint at the USA Baseball Complex in Cary, NC., with contests against Franklin Pierce, College of St. Rose, and Frostburg State.
