Andrew Dietz is again putting together an outstanding season at the plate for Chestnut Hill, and his success continued this past week.
The senior from Warrington was 9-for-18 last week with two homers, two doubles, and seven RBIs. He also scored six runs and stole a base.
Dietz, who is hitting .447 this year with seven homers and 30 RBIs, is the Philadelphia Baseball Review's D-II Offensive Player of the Week.
On the mound, Thomas Hughes starred for the Griffins. The graduate-student hurler tossed 13 innings over two starts this past week, surrendering three runs on eight hits. He also walked just three while collecting 13 strikeouts and earned a pair of wins.
The Griffins are 11-12 on the season and welcome Golden Beacom for a contest on Wednesday.
