Chestnut Hill's Sam Barletta pieced together an outstanding week, finishing 10-for-23 with nine RBIs and a homer to secure our weekly Philly area D-II Offensive Player of the Week honors.
The senior catcher is hitting .395 on the season with 11 RBIs.
The Griffins got off to a rocky start on their recent road trip but swept a three-game set with Florida Memorial over the weekend to come home with a 4-5 record. For the year, Chestnut Hill is 5-8.
On the mound, West Chester's Braeden Fausnaught is our D-II Pitcher of the Week. The graduate student lefty tossed seven strong innings on Friday to shutdown Lock Haven, surrendering just two runs on seven hits. He also collected seven strikeouts.
