McCarty named Player of the Week
Ryan McCarty batted .600 (9-for-15) with a double, a triple, two home runs, nine runs scored, and 11 RBIs in a 4-0 week for Penn State Abington. He's our Philadelphia Baseball Review D-III Player of the Week.

McCarty had at least two hits in all four contests and set a program record by driving in seven runs in the final game of a series with St. Mary's.

McCarty is hitting .470 on the season with ten homers and 29 RBIs. He's also carrying a 1.554 OPS.

On the bump, Immaculata's Jason Hughes is the Philadelphia Baseball Review D-III Pitcher of the Week.

The first-year hurler tossed seven innings of shutout baseball and led the Macs to a 12-1 victory over Gwynedd Mercy. Hughes allowed four hits and three walks; he struck out ten.

Over 18 innings this season, Hughes has posted a 1.00 ERA. He also has 20 strikeouts and a 1.06 WHIP.
