Rotondo homers in loss
Offensive struggles continued on Sunday for Villanova as the Wildcats collected just four hits in an 8-4 loss against Georgia State.

Chris Rotondo hit a homer in the opening frame for Villanova, while Cameron Hassert chipped in with a three-run double in the fourth.

Unfortunately, the Bulldogs answered with four runs in the bottom of the same frame and ran away with things in the seventh.

Devin Rivera failed to get out of the fourth inning, tossing 3 2/3 innings while surrendering four runs on seven hits. Jonathan Cole took the loss for Villanova, allowing three runs over 2 1/3 innings in relief.

Through ten games, the Wildcats as a team are hitting just .201. Rotondo (.282) and Joey Castellanos (.256) are the only two regulars in the lineup with batting averages over .250.

Villanova (1-9) will open the home portion of its schedule on Tuesday with a contest against Lafayette.
