Rotondo helps Wildcats to exciting win
A two-run seventh-inning rally highlighted by a walk-off single from Jack O'Reilly lifted Villanova past NJIT on Friday, 6-5.

Trailing by a run in the bottom of the seventh, Chris Rotondo opened the frame with a single, and Cameron Hassert followed with a bunt single to the right side of the infield. The two then completed a double steal to move into scoring position. Joey Castellanos proceeded with a liner to center to plate Rotondo and even the contest. O'Reilly then put his stamp on the contest with a walk-off single to left.

Cole Patten looked solid again on the mound for the Wildcats, surrendering one earned run over 5 2/3 innings to go along with eight strikeouts. The transfer from Seton Hall has allowed just three earned runs over 26 1/3 innings this season.

Rotondo finished the contest with three hits and extended his hitting streak to 11 games. O'Reilly and Pat O'Neill collected two hits each.
