Cabrini wins a pair
Cabrini swept both ends of a doubleheader with Haverford on Saturday.

The Cavs capitalized on 12 walks, and Brendan Van Belle drove in a pair of runs in an 8-2 win in Game 1.

Sophomore Zack Brook led the offense finishing 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI. Jonathan Baker secured the win, tossing five innings while surrendering two runs on six hits.

Mack McKisson started on the bump for the Cavs in the nightcap, tossing four scoreless innings. Gil Peralta and Earl Kochel each homered in a 3-2 win.

Haverford had the tying run in scoring position in the ninth, but Brian Dino was able to escape to record his first save of the season. He tossed three innings, didn't surrender an earned run, and whiffed seven.

The Cavs are now 13-3 on the season and return to action on Wednesday with a contest against Rosemont. The club is riding a seven-game winning streak. The program recorded a nine-game winning streak in 2019.
