Each year the Philadelphia Baseball Review consults with coaches and scouts from across the region to develop a watch list of the top talent within the various divisions of the NCAA.
The roster below includes some of the premier talents you should watch this season at the Division 3 level.
Catcher: Justin Fogel (Penn State Abington, sophomore)
Was named 2021 NEAC Rookie of the Year while posting a .412 average to go along with three homers and 25 RBI's. He also performed well with the glove, posting a .993 fielding percentage.
Catcher: Josh Crowding (Immaculata, sophomore)
He led the Macs last year with 44 hits, 11 doubles, three triples, and seven home runs to go along with a .454 batting average. Was named AEC Rookie of the Year last season.
Catcher: Zach Ray (Neumann, graduate student)
Led the Knights with a .447 batting average to go along with a .541 on-base percentage. He also posted a .992 fielding percentage and converted outs on six of ten stolen base attempts.
Infielder: Ryan McCarty (Penn State Abington, senior)
A career .402 hitter with the Nittany Lions, he's one of the best offensive threats in the region. His four homers last year to go along with 33 RBI's while posting some outstanding numbers on the mound too, including a 1.69 ERA over 22 innings.
Infielder: Steven Priest (Cabrini, graduate student)
Named to the Atlantic East All-Conference First Team while hitting .418 with six homers and 42 RBI's.
Infielder: Gil Peralta (Cabrini, senior)
Led the Cavs with ten dingers last year while also posting a.388 batting average. He drove in 36 RBI's and stole four bases.
Infielder: Alex Madera (Arcadia, junior)
The speedster hit .389 last season while leading the MAC with 25 stolen bases. He also received All-MAC Freedom First-team honors last year.
Infielder: Kyle Brex (Widener, junior)
Appeared in 25 games for the Pride last season, hitting .388 with five doubles, a homer, and collecting 17 RBI's.
Outfielder: Anthony Boccio (Widener, junior)
Hit .371 with 14 doubles, six triples, four homers, and 31 RBI's. He led the MAC in triples and ranked third each in doubles and RBI's. He also stole six bases and enters 2022 with a lifetime .387 average.
Outfielder: Caleb Edman (Cairn, senior)
He hit .442 last season and posted a 1.332 OPS over 15 games for the Highlanders. He also stole nine bases.
Outfielder: Mack McKisson (Cabrini, senior)
Named AEC Co-Player of the Year last season, posting a .500 average (48-for-96) while hitting three dingers and collecting 38 RBI's. He's a career .405 hitter for the Cavs.
Outfielder: Matt McHale (Eastern, senior)
Led the Eagles with a .393 batting average to go along with 21 RBI's. He's posted two consecutive seasons without making an error and has a career .984 fielding percentage.
Pitcher: Mike Valerio (Cabrini, graduate student)
The right-hander held opponents to a league-low .249 batting average. Collected 35 strikeouts over 43 innings.
Pitcher: Nadell Booker (Arcadia, sophomore)
One of the premier relievers in the region last season. Tossed 17 2/3 scoreless innings, while holding opponents to a .109 batting average.
Pitcher: Luke Forunier (Arcadia, senior)
Made eight starts last year and was named MAC Freedom Pitcher of the Year. Posted a 5-3 record with a 3.93 ERA and 31 strikeouts in 36 2/3 innings.
Pitcher: Ryan Crowell (Immaculata, senior)
Pitched a team-leading 46 innings while posting a 3.91 ERA. Earned a 6-1 record on the season with two recorded saves
