Jack O'Reilly and Chris Rotondo drove in a pair of runs each, but it wasn't enough as the Wildcats dropped their series finale with Pepperdine on Sunday, 10-7.

The Wildcats collected just six hits on the day, all singles. Devin Rivera took the loss, surrendering five runs - four earned - over two frames.

Pepperdine carried a 7-0 lead into the fifth before the Wildcats answered with a pair of runs. Villanova manufactured four runs in the seventh with a two-run single by O'Reilly being the highlight, but they wouldn't get any closer.

Jonathan Cole tossed two scoreless innings in relief for Villanova while also collecting three strikeouts.

The Wildcats return to action on Friday when they open up a weekend series with The Citadel.
