Danny Wilkinson dealt with command issues from the start, issuing seven walks and a wild pitch over three innings as Pepperdine knocked off Villanova on Saturday, 13-3.

Wilkinson faced 18 batters, surrendering six earned runs. Two of the three hits he gave up were homers.

The Wildcats didn't fare much better at the plate, mustering just six hits on the afternoon.

Joey Castellanos drove in Villanova's first run in the sixth inning with an RBI double, scoring Pat O'Neill as he reached base earlier in the frame after being hit by a pitch. Castellanos finished the day 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI's while Jack O'Reilly drove in Villanova's other run with a sacrifice fly in the eighth. O'Neill also had two hits in the loss.

Chic DeGaetano surrendered five runs over three innings out of the bullpen for Villanova.

The two teams resume their weekend set on Saturday, with the first pitch scheduled for 4 p.m.
