Quinnipiac scored 12 runs over the first four frames and knocked off Saint Joseph's on Sunday afternoon, 18-8.

Sophomore right-hander Ryan Basarab struggled out of the gate for the Hawks, surrendering five runs over two innings in his NCAA debut. He hit three batters and gave up four hits.

The bullpen didn't fare much better for the Hawks, surrendering 13 additional runs over the final seven frames. Mike Picollo endured the worst of it, allowing seven runs on five hits over 2 2/3 innings.

Nate Thomas led the Hawks at the plate, launching a solo shot in the fourth for his third homer of the weekend. Tim Cavanaugh also homered while Brendah Hueth finished the day 3-for-5.
