Pitcher of the Week
Cole Patten was impressive in his Villanova debut on Saturday, tossing 7 2/3 innings while surrendering just six hits. He surrendered five runs, all unearned, and didn't walk a batter.

The Seton Hall transfer will be an important arm for the Wildcats this season. He averaged over nine strikeouts per nine innings over his career with the Pirates.

Patten posted a 2-5 record with a 4.85 ERA spanning the 2019-21 seasons.

Villanova was swept over the weekend by Pepperdine. The Wildcats hits just .168 in the series and posted a 7.88 ERA.

Patten will be back on the mound this weekend for Villanova when the club visits The Citadel.

Each week during the college baseball season the Philadelphia Baseball Review will select a Pitcher and Player of the Week.
