Penn asserted dominance over Brown in a doubleheader showdown at Tommy Lasorda Field last Friday, clinching victory in both encounters. The first game concluded with a solid 4-1 triumph, followed by a nail-biting 6-5 win in an extended 11-inning nightcap. 
 
In the opener, Cole Zaffiro's stellar performance on the mound shone brightly as he delivered seven shutout innings while tallying an impressive 11 strikeouts. Meanwhile, Wyatt Henseler spearheaded the offensive charge with two hits, including a crucial two-run homer in the third inning. 
 
Henseler continued to be a linchpin in Game 2, contributing significantly to Penn's success by scoring the decisive run on a clutch single by Ryan Taylor, securing the doubleheader sweep. Davis Baker also made notable contributions, registering two hits in the nightcap, including a solo home run in the first inning. 
 
With these victories, the Quakers extended their winning streak to four games, showcasing their formidable prowess on the field. The two teams are slated to conclude their three-game series on Sunday. 
 
Elsewhere, Saint Joseph's embarked on a challenging seven-game road journey, commencing with a matchup against Kent State at Schoonover Stadium in Kent, Ohio on Friday. Despite a valiant effort, they succumbed to a narrow 3-2 defeat. 
 
Will McCausland, despite a commendable performance, endured a tough-luck loss, allowing three runs – one earned – on five hits while striking out five across six innings, bringing his record to 1-2. 
 
Conlan Wall and Ryan Picollo emerged as bright spots for the Hawks, each delivering two hits. Notably, both of Picollo's hits resulted in doubles. 
 
Other Action 
George Mason pulled off a walk-off win over Villanova in Game 1 of their doubleheader on Friday, securing a 6-5 victory via a walk-off wild pitch by reliever Alec Sachais. The Patriots won the nightcap, 3-2.
