Arcadia baseball
Arcadia made significant strides in the latest Top 25 rankings, ascending three positions to claim the No. 21 spot.
The Knights, boasting a 6-2 record, showcased their prowess over the weekend by clinching two out of three victories against a formidable Penn State-Harrisburg squad. This achievement follows their notable win against former top-ranked Johns Hopkins and a split doubleheader with No. 3 Baldwin Wallace.
Leading the offensive charge is Anthony Bruno from Hatboro-Horsham, who has been instrumental with a remarkable 1.138 OPS, tallying a team-high 12 RBIs and 23 total bases. As a collective unit, the team boasts a robust .322 batting average across eight games, coupled with an impressive average of 7.9 runs per game.
On the pitching front, Will Conroy has been a standout performer, delivering stellar performances in his two starts, boasting a commendable 2.53 ERA while holding opponents to a mere .171 batting average.
Looking ahead, the Knights are gearing up for their spring break trip to Lexington, where they will face off against tough opponents including Case Western Reserve, Ithaca, Oswego, and Swarthmore, starting on Saturday. They will return home on March 16 to commence their MAC Freedom schedule, kicking off with a series against Misericordia.
