West Chester baseball
Casey Vaughan delivered a walk-off single, pushing John Dunion across the plate with the winning run to lift No. 18 West Chester to a 3-2 victory over Gannon on Friday at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C.

Gaetan Grandelli pinch hit to lead off the ninth and drew a walk and Dunion was inserted as a pinch-runner. Evan Profy followed with a single while Joe Kaleck was pitched around with runners in scoring position to load the bases, setting the table for Vaughan's game-winner.

Gannon had a one-run lead in the eighth, but Profy scampered home to even the contest on Vaughan's sacrifice bunt.

Anthony Boccio finished 2-for-3 with a run scored for the Golden Rams.

Julian Costra was outstanding on the bump, tossing six scoreless frames. He didn't walk a batter and whiffed six.

West Chester will play two games on Saturday in Cary, facing Concord at 1pm and Frostburg State at 5:30pm.
