Penn State Abington senior Ryan McCarty is the D-III Philly Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the Philadelphia Baseball Review on Tuesday.
McCarty was 12-of-18 at the plate this past week, scoring 12 runs while driving in nine. He also mashed a pair of homers and picked up six doubles.
He currently leads all of D-III with 22 dingers on the year.
Through 35 games this season, McCarty is hitting a D-III leading .523 to go along with 73 runs, 67 RBIs, 23 doubles and 22 home runs, all ranking tops in D-III.
Penn State Abington finished the past week 4-0 to improve to 26-9 on the season.
The club returns to action on Thursday with a non-conference game against Delaware Valley. The Nittany Lions will wrap up United East play this weekend with a series at home against Gallaudet.
