Jeff Singer
Jeff Singer will join the Phillies tonight before their contest with the Mets. It'll mark a new chapter for the 28-year-old reliever from South Jersey. He'll take the spot on the active roster vacated by Corey Knebel who has been placed on the COVID-19 list.

Singer, a Holy Cross Academy graduate, has thrown four shutout innings in a pair of appearances this season for Triple-A Lehigh Valley. The left-hander has a career 19-14 record with a 3.20 ERA, 42 saves, and 322 strikeouts over eight minor league seasons.

Singer was born in Philadelphia and eventually moved to Cinnaminson when he was in grade school. He spent two seasons at Gloucester County College, then played at Monmouth for a year, and closed his collegiate career at Rutgers-Camden. He went undrafted in 2015 and received an offer from the Phillies after performing for some scouts at a professional tryout for the Independent League.
