WCU beats Millersville
Millersville put up a fight and had the tying run on third with two outs in the final inning, but West Chester managed to hold on to a pivotal 7-6 victory on Friday at Serpico Stadium.

Millersville scored four runs in the seventh to take a 4-3 advantage, but the Rams answered with four runs in the bottom of the frame. Justin Horn and Mike Ferrara each delivered two-run singles to account for the runs.

Ferrara finished the day 2-for-3 with three RBIs, while Horn was 2-for-4 and scored twice.

Joe Messina picked up the win in relief, recording two outs in the seventh. Kyle Lazer collected a two-inning save, weaving in and out of trouble, surrendering two runs in the ninth while whiffing three.

The Rams (22-9, 10-6) entered Friday in fourth place in the PSAC East, three games behind division-leader Millersville (31-10, 13-4).

The two clubs will again meet Saturday in a doubleheader at Cooper Park in Millersville.
