Villanova jumped ahead early, but Butler scored four runs in the seventh and never looked back to knock off the Wildcats on Sunday, 11-3.
Joey Castellanos finished 3-for-4 for Villanova to pace the offense. John Whooley drove in two runs in the opening frame with a two-run double.
Danny Wilkinson took the loss, surrendering four runs over 1 2/3 innings.
The Wildcats also struggled in the field, committing three errors on the afternoon.
Chris Rotondo finished 1-for-4 in the loss.
Villanova returns to action on Tuesday with a visit from Bucknell.
