Chestnut Hill hurler Michael Kiefer has been named the Philadelphia Baseball Review D-II Pitcher of the Week for his performance on the mound in the Griffins' game against West Chester University.

Kiefer tossed a nine-inning complete-game shutout against the Golden Rams on Tuesday for his first win of the season. The junior held nationally ranked (#16) West Chester to just two hits while striking out a career-high nine batters as the Griffins cruised to a 9-0 victory.

Andrew Dietz, also of Chestnut Hill, is the Philadelphia Baseball Review D-II Player of the Week.

The senior finished the week 3-for-9 and set a new program record for career RBI with 126. He also tossed seven scoreless innings in a win over Caldwell.

The Warrington native is hitting .431 this season with seven homers and 35 RBI. He's also performing well on the mound, now riding a 15-inning scoreless streak over his last two starts. He has a 4.02 ERA to go along with 43 strikeouts over 40 1/3 innings.

The Griffins (15-16) host Felician in a CACC doubleheader on Thursday.
