Aidan Frye and Colin Scanlon earn weekly Philadelphia honrs
The Philadelphia Baseball Review released its Division-I Freshman Player of the Week and Reliever of the Week awards on Tuesday for the period ending March 3.

La Salle swept the honors with Aidan Frye and Colin Scanlon each earning recognition.

Frye, a right-hander out of Springside Chestnut Hill, tossed a seven-inning complete-game shutout on Sunday against Albany. He surrendered just three hits while notching eight strikeouts. The effort secured him his first collegiate victory.

On Monday, the Philadelphia Baseball Review also honored Frye as D-I Pitcher of the Week.

As for Scanlon, the sophomore left-hander tossed 3 1/3 scoreless innings on Saturday to secure a victory over Albany. He surrendered just one hit and struck out four. Through eight innings this season he's posted a 1.13 ERA to go along with 10 strikeouts.

The Philadelphia Baseball Review honors a Freshman and Reliever of the Week each Tuesday throughout the college baseball season.
