Penn State Abington and Cairn represented in Player of the Week honors
The Philadelphia Baseball Review released its Division-III College Player of the Week awards on Tuesday for the period ending March 10.

Cairn senior catcher Brett Marks has been named the Philadelphia Baseball Review's D-III Hitter of the Week, while Penn State Abington freshmen right-hander Darrien Mogel has been named the Philadelphia Baseball Review's D-III Pitcher of the Week.

Marks finished the week 6-for-10 (.600) for the Highlanders with three runs scored, four RBIs, and a pair of doubles. He also reached base twice over the weekend after being hit by a pitch. Through five games he's hitting .615 with a homer and seven RBIs.

Mogel tossed two innings in relief on Thursday and didn't allow an earned run for the Nittany Lions, then started on Friday and threw eight strong innings in a win over Trine. He surrendered one earned run and scattered four hits while notching four strikeouts. Combined on the week he posted a 1.00 WHIP over 10 innings to go along with a 0.90 ERA.

The Philadelphia Baseball Review names winners each Tuesday throughout the college season.
