Neumann wrapped up its Spring Break trip in South Carolina with a strong offensive performance Friday, defeating Delaware Valley 16–8 behind a 14-hit attack.

After Delaware Valley opened the game with a solo home run, Neumann answered immediately with a five-run first inning. Anthony Rakotz sparked the rally with a leadoff single and later scored on Andrew Brown’s sacrifice fly. JerVal Shuler followed with an RBI triple before Jackson Armiger drew a walk and came around to score on Brayden Fields’ first collegiate hit. Brody Foltz capped the inning with a two-run double to give the Knights a 5–1 lead.

The Aggies pulled within a run in the third, but Neumann responded with its biggest inning of the night. The Knights sent 12 batters to the plate and scored eight runs to stretch the lead to 13–4. Armiger delivered a two-run double and Yoan Feliz added a two-run single during the outburst.

Brown and Feliz led the offense with four RBIs apiece. Brown finished 2-for-3 with a double, while Feliz went 2-for-5 with a double and a run scored. Rakotz scored three times and Armiger contributed to five runs, finishing with two RBIs and three runs scored.

Neumann’s bullpen helped secure the win. Tommy Angelucci, Kyle Dailey, Max Brown, and Rey Carrier combined for 6.2 innings of relief, striking out nine while allowing five hits.

The Knights improved to 4–1 and return north to face Eastern on Tuesday. The loss dropped the Aggies to 4-1.

William Patterson 3, Arcadia 2
A three-run sixth inning proved decisive Friday afternoon as Arcadia dropped a 3–2 decision at William Paterson in non-conference play.

Arcadia fell to 1–3 on the season while William Paterson improved to 3–1.

The Knights struck first in the opening inning. Max Oswald delivered a double to left-center that scored Ryan Radigan, giving Arcadia an early 1–0 lead.

Arcadia added another run in the third. Joshua Agriesti reached on an infield single that brought home Kevin Wheeler to push the Knights ahead 2–0.

Starting pitcher Xavier Sjostedt kept William Paterson quiet through the early innings. The right-hander worked into the sixth, allowing one run on two hits while striking out five and issuing no walks.

William Paterson broke through in the bottom of the sixth, scoring three runs in the inning to take the lead. The rally was aided by an Arcadia error that helped extend the frame.

Oswald finished with two hits for the Knights, while Agriesti and Oswald each drove in a run.

Arcadia returns to action Saturday when it hosts Ithaca for an 11 a.m. non-conference doubleheader at Diamond Nation.
