Faso and DIValerio named D-I Philadelphia Baseball Review Players of the Week
The Philadelphia Baseball Review released its Division-I College Player of the Week awards on Monday for the period ending March 5.

La Salle senior outfielder Ben Faso was named the Philadelphia Baseball Review's Hitter of the Week, while Saint Joseph's junior right-hander Jordan DiValerio has been named the Philadelphia Baseball Review's Pitcher of the Week.

Faso became just the ninth player in La Salle baseball history to join the 200-hit club on Friday. He finished the week 10-for-22 (.455) with seven RBIs, four runs scored, a double, a homer, and a stolen base. He's hitting .292 on the season and holds the Philadelphia D-I lead with 56 RBIs.

As for DiValerio, he threw eight strong innings against St. Bonaventure on Friday, allowing two runs on four hits while striking out seven in a no-decision. The Hawks went on to eventually win the contest in extras, 3-2. On the year, conference opponents are hitting just .199 against him.

The Philadelphia Baseball Review names winners each Monday throughout the college season.
