Jared Melone and Jon Fisher earn D-II honors from the Philadelphia Baseball Review
Senior corner infielder Jared Melone pieced together one of the greatest careers in recent memory while at West Chester and he capped things off this year in spectacular fashion, earning D-II Player of the Year honors from the Philadelphia Baseball Review.

In 47 games with the Rams this season he hit .438 with 10 homers, 55 RBIs, and posted a .784 slugging percentage. He also collected 20 doubles.

Melone (North Penn) finishes his three-year career at WCU with a .420 career average to go along with 28 homers and 167 RBIs.

On the mound, West Chester's Jon Fisher earned Pitcher of the Year honors from the Philadelphia Baseball Review. The senior tossed 70 1/3 innings on the year and posted a 3.58 ERA to go along with a 1.16 WHIP. He held opponents to a .239 batting average against, plus tossed three complete, notched six wins, and collected 73 strikeouts.

Fisher (Plymouth Whitemarsh) ends his career with a 19-8 record to go along with a 3.22 ERA over 36 appearances, 33 of which were starts.
