West Chester secures NCAA tourney bid; hosts regional later this week

Despite missing out on a chance to claim the PSAC title due to rain, West Chester earned a second seed in the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championship and will play host to a three-team pod that includes Gannon and Charleston.

The Rams have won nine of their last 10 contests.

The double-elimination tournament will begin at Serpico Field on Thursday afternoon with Gannon (32-15) facing Charleston (37-17). The loser will face the Rams (31-13) on Friday morning.

The winner of the pod will advance to the super regional round and face the winner of a regional pod that includes Millersville, Bloomsburg, and Mercyhurst.
