Local College Baseball results in Philadelphia
Here's a look at Friday's Philadelphia-region college baseball postseason results, highlighted by convincing wins from Gwynedd Mercy and West Chester.

Gwynedd Mercy 20, Cabrini 5
Nick Mulvey collected a career-high seven RBIs highlighted by a grand slam in the second to lift the Griffins to an opening win in the AEC best-of-three title series. The Griffins opened up a 9-0 lead by the third innings. Nine of the club's 14 hits on the afternoon were extra base hits. Justin Curtin was 2-for-3 with three RBIs, three walks, and a career-high four runs scored. Dave Tatoian added three RBI's, while Sachael Sciarretta scored three times and Ryan Keen added a solo home run. Griffins starter Nick DeRitis tossed eight innings to secure the win. Cabrini pitchers combined to issue 10 walks on the afternoon while the defense committed five errors.

West Chester 11, Gannon 1
Jared Melone collected three hits while Joe Zirolli, Kyle Feaster, and Michael Krusinski all homered to lift the Rams to an impressive win in the second round of the PSAC tournament on Friday. The win was the ninth straight for WCU. Zirolli finished the day with five RBIs while Melone is now 6-for-6 at the plate over two tournament games. The club will face Bloomsburg on Saturday.

Keystone 6, Cairn 1
The Highlanders scored first in the opening frame, but that wasn't enough to take the first game of the CSAC title series. Albert Taylor started for Cairn, hurling six innings while surrendering three runs - one earned - on six hits. The best-of-three series resumes on Saturday.
