Phillies and Reds
Cincinnati arrives at Citizens Bank Park riding the wave of momentum from their successful opening series against the Nationals, where they clinched two victories out of three. The defining moment of their triumph came in a thrilling fashion as Christian Encarnacion-Strand's walk-off homer secured a memorable 6-5 win over the Nationals on Sunday at Great American Ball Park, following Will Benson's game-tying blast in the ninth inning.

Looking ahead to the upcoming series, the Reds will introduce right-handed pitcher Graham Ashcraft and left-handed pitcher Andrew Abbott, who will make their season debuts, adding fresh arms to the rotation. Meanwhile, right-hander Frankie Montas will take the mound for Wednesday's finale, aiming to build upon his impressive Opening Day performance, where he delivered six solid innings and conceded just one run in a victorious effort.

Player to Watch
Jonathan India heard the buzz throughout the winter, that the Reds should trade him because there were better internal options to play second base. It was his 10-pitch at-bat with two outs in the ninth on Sunday though that resulted in a double and ultimately helped the Reds secure a win in their finale with the Nationals.

India, a former National League Rookie of the Year, was limited by plantar fasciitis injury last season, which included a stint on the injury list. Matt McLain is on the 60-day IL after undergoing shoulder surgery to address cartilage damage and repair his labrum, so for now, India will see plenty of playing time.

Eye to the Sky
It will rain in Philadelphia early in the week, and there's a potential for a postponement or two in this series. Both clubs have Thursday as a mutual off day, but you would hate to see any club have to battle through pitching depth issues this early in the season.
