Each week during the college baseball season, the Philadelphia Baseball Review recognizes outstanding players with the Offensive Player and Pitcher of the Week awards. This week at the D-I level, both accolades go to Villanova representatives. The team is on a hot streak, having won four games in a row, including a notable three-game sweep of Seton Hall on the road this past weekend.

Dennis finished the week 7-for-17 with four runs scored and two RBIs. He raised his average to .343 on the season. He's now riding a four-game hitting streak.

Rivera has had a tough season but pieced together his best start of the year on Sunday, tossing seven scoreless frames to seal a sweep of Seton Hall. He surrendered four hits and walked two while striking out three. The performance also marked his first win of the season.

As of now, the Wildcats are 3-6 in Big East conference play and sit in sixth place. The top four teams make the Big East tournament.

The Wildcats will visit Lafayette for a non-conference tilt on Tuesday and then travel to Long Branch to face Monmouth on Wednesday. The Big East schedule resumes this week as the club hosts Creighton for a three-game set.
