PBR - Spencer Branigan collected two hits, including an RBI-double in the eighth, to lead Penn past Villanova 6-3 on Wednesday at Plymouth Meeting.

The Quakers bounced back from an early 2-0 deficit and were able to mitigate the Wildcats offense in the late innings to hold on for the win. Connor Cuff picked up his first collegiate win and tossed the final four innings, striking out eight.

Derek Vigoa improved his batting average to .381 with a pair of hits in the winning effort.

Tyler Sciacca led the Wildcats with four hits.

The two teams combined to leave 22 runners on base.

Penn hosts Lafayette for a double-header on Saturday, while Villanova opens the Big East portion of their schedule with a series at home against St. John's.
