PBR - Carlos Ruiz hit a three-run blast that sparked an offensive barrage of seven unanswered runs as the Phillies downed the Tigers 7-5 on Friday afternoon at Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland, Fla.

Phillies Pitching: Roy Halladay gave up three runs on four hits in three innings while striking out four. Two of the hits he surrendered were home runs ... Jeremy Horst and David Herndon combined for three scoreless innings.

Phillies Offense: Lou Montanez finished the contest 2-for-3 with a pair of runs scored and an RBI ... John Mayberry Jr. went 1-for-3 and collected an RBI-double ... The Phils left eight runners on base and finished 4-for-14 with runners in scoring position.

Let's Review: Halladay surrendered both homers to Eric Patterson, a journeyman that is unlikely to break camp with the Tigers ... “I feel like everything is going good,” Halladay said afterwards. “I have just been inconsistent so far. I only made two mistakes and they were to the same guy. I feel like I have a long way to go, but I am not concerned.”

On Deck: The Phillies host the Orioles on Saturday at 1:05 p.m. with Joe Blanton slatted for the start.
