PBR - Joe Bennie collected three hits and drove in a pair of runs to lead La Salle past Temple 9-7 Tuesday afternoon at Skip Wilson Field in Ambler.

Temple went on to score seven unanswered runs in the middle innings but it ultimately proved to be too little.
Steve Nikorak finished 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI in the losing effort. He's now reached base safely in every contest this season for Temple. Jordan Queja added three hits.
George Smith Jr. hit a solo homer for the Explorers in the final frame, extending his hit streak to nine games.
Pat Christensen tossed 2 1/3 scoreless innings to notch the save, bringing him within one of the all-time La Salle record.
Eric Peterson did well for the Owls out of the bullpen, surrendering three hits and a run over six innings.
The Owls are back in action Wednesday at Penn while the Explorers host Buffalo on Friday.
