Ryan Bauerle and Bobby Hansen powered Rake to a 7-2 victory over Bucks County Ghost on Monday night at Council Rock North, marking the season opener for both teams in the Philly Select Collegiate League.

Bauerle and Hansen combined for four hits and six RBIs, driving in the majority of Rake's runs in the impressive win.

Bauerle, a standout sophomore from Widener (Council Rock South) who earned MAC Commonwealth First Team honors after hitting .340 with 10 stolen bases last season, delivered a two-run single to highlight a three-run second inning for Rake.

Hansen (Alvernia/Neshaminy) followed with a two-run single to center in a three-run third inning. He  also shined on the mound, pitching three innings in relief and surrendering one run on four hits.

Bauerle also added three stolen bases to his stat line.

Despite working eight walks, Bucks County Ghost failed to string together hits to capitalize on those opportunities.

Dillon Rooney (Clarkson/Holy Ghost Prep) earned the win, surrendering one run over three frames.

The two clubs continue their three-game set on Tuesday at Munro Park in Warminster, with the first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m.
