In a thrilling finish at Gwynedd Mercy University on Wednesday, Mason Curtier delivered a dramatic walk-off sacrifice fly to center field in the eighth inning, lifting the Philly Mummers to an 11-10 victory over the Bucks County Ghost.

Trailing 8-3 entering the sixth inning, the Mummers showcased their resilience with a remarkable five-run rally to tie the game and force extra innings.

The Bucks County Ghost momentarily regained the lead in the top of the eighth with a two-run double to right field by Jalen Soberal (Bensalem), making it 10-8. The Mummers responded in the bottom of the eighth with clutch RBI singles from R.J. Agriss (Elizabethtown) and Kaden Pasternak (PSU- Harrisburg), leveling the score at 10-10 and setting the stage for Curtier’s (Kutztown) heroics.

With runners on and an 0-2 count, Curtier lofted a fly ball to center field, deep enough for Bannon Brazell (Mercer CC) to tag up and score the winning run, capping off the thrilling comeback. Brazell finished the contest 3-for-3 with two runs scored, a pair of RBIs, and a stolen base.

Curtier collected two hits, while Pasternak walked twice and drove in a pair of runs.

Lefty Jimmy Tooley (IUP) earned the win, surrendering one run over 2 2/3 innings for the Mummers, walking two and striking out three.

Control issues plagued the Ghost's pitchers throughout the night, as three hurlers combined to issue 11 walks.

The win improved the Mummers to 3-2 on the season, while the Ghost dropped to 2-2.

The two clubs will wrap up their three-game series on Thursday at Council Rock North High School.
