The Philly Fightin' Quakers jumped on Rake early, putting up a five-spot in the first inning and cruising to an 8-5 victory on Tuesday night at Gwynedd Mercy University.

Mike Amrhein (Mercer CC) delivered a key two-run single in the opening frame, while Luke Hardnock (Immaculata) added an RBI double, setting the tone for the night.

Rake’s defensive woes, highlighted by five errors, compounded their struggles.

Andrew Armstrong (Bloomsburg) earned the win for the Fightin' Quakers, allowing just one earned run over four innings.

Dylan Holmes (Eastern) was stellar in relief, tossing three innings without surrendering an earned run and yielding only one hit.

Brendan Raven contributed offensively with two hits, helping secure the victory.

Despite the loss, right-hander Logan Woodward (PSU-Abington) shone brightly for Rake, firing three hitless innings and recording seven strikeouts.

The win improved the Fightin' Quakers to 2-2 on the year, while Rake fell to 1-3-1.

The two clubs will continue their three-game series on Thursday at Gwynedd Mercy.
