Matt Joyce and the Phillies
Non-roster invitee Matt Joyce homered, walked and drove in two runs as the Phillies and Orioles played to a 4-4 tie in seven innings Monday in Clearwater, Fla.

Joyce, 36, is battling for a bench position with the Phillies. He can play either corner outfield position and may get a look in the coming days at first base as manager Joe Girardi looks for an additional way to add to Joyce's value if he breaks camp with the club.

Aaron Nola started the contest for the Phillies, surrendering two runs on four hits in two innings. He picked up one strikeout.

More regulars coming
Rhys Hoskins and Didi Gregorius will likely see their first spring action later this week. Hoskins is returning from left elbow surgery in October, while Gregorius arrived late to camp due to visa issues in Curaçao.

Bryce Harper is also likely to see action later this week, but Girardi said he wants to be cautious as Harper dealt with back issues late last season.

What's next
The Phillies will play the Toronto Blue Jays in Dunedin, Florida, at 1:07 p.m. Tuesday. Zack Wheeler is expected to start for the Phillies.
