Phillies promote Alec Bohm
The Phillies are promoting their top offensive prospect this afternoon with Alec Bohm joining the team, sources have confirmed to the Philadelphia Baseball Review.

The club has not yet announced the move, nor has the team made a roster adjustment to open a slot.

Bohm, a corner infielder, hit .305/.378/.518 with 21 home runs and 80 RBIs in 540 plate appearances across Single-A & Double-A last season.

The Phillies have had poor offensive play in the early going from Rhys Hoskins at first base and Jean Segura at third base, so Bohm could provide a spark to the lineup while letting those two take a day or two to rest on the bench.

Bohm, 24, was the third overall pick of the 2018 draft.
