CINCINNATI - Cedric Hunter is in the Phillies' opening day lineup and starting in left field.

The 28-year-old was a minor league invite to camp and hit .262 over 65 at-bats. He ranked third on the team in RBIs with 13 and also hit three home runs.

With Aaron Altherr and Cody Asche both on the disabled list, Hunter will likely platoon with Rule 5 pick Tyler Goeddel in left.

Here is the Phillies opening day starting lineup:

1. Cesar Hernandez 4
2. Odubel Herrera 8
3. Maikel Franco 5
4. Ryan Howard 3
5. Carlos Ruiz 2
6. Cedric Hunter 7
7. Peter Bourjos 9
8. Freddy Galvis 6
9. Jeremy Hellickson 1

Of note, Howard is making his 10th opening day start in a Phillies uniform, setting a franchise record.
