Brandon Marsh - Phillies - Philadelphia Baseball Review
PHILADELPHIA - With exactly one month remaining before the All-Star Game arrives at Citizens Bank Park, Phillies fans are already making their presence felt.

Major League Baseball released its first National League All-Star voting update Monday, and the host club placed seven players among the top four vote-getters at their respective positions — a strong showing even though no Phillie currently leads a positional race.

The most notable development belongs to Brandon Marsh.

The Phillies outfielder ranks third among National League outfielders with 668,191 votes, trailing only the Dodgers' Andy Pages and Atlanta's Ronald Acuña Jr. Marsh entered the week hitting .322 with eight home runs, 32 RBIs and an .848 OPS, putting himself firmly in position to contend for the first All-Star selection of his career.

Kyle Schwarber has also received significant support from fans.

The designated hitter sits second in National League voting at his position with 820,009 votes, trailing only Shohei Ohtani, who leads all National League players with 1,165,133 votes. Schwarber's place behind Ohtani likely makes a starting assignment difficult, but it places him squarely in the conversation for another trip to the Midsummer Classic.

Elsewhere on the ballot, Bryson Stott and Alec Bohm each rank second at their positions. Stott trails Atlanta's Ozzie Albies at second base, while Bohm sits behind Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy. Bryce Harper ranks third among first basemen, J.T. Realmuto is third among catchers, and Trea Turner sits fourth among National League shortstops.

The voting totals paint an interesting picture.

While Marsh and Schwarber have assembled strong statistical cases, the results also reflect the visibility of a Phillies club that will host the All-Star Game for the first time at Citizens Bank Park. Even amid an uneven season that has included injuries and offensive inconsistency, Philadelphia remains one of baseball's most recognizable brands and continues to draw strong support from fans nationwide.

The voting update arrives as Philadelphia prepares to host the All-Star Game for the fifth time in city history and the first time at Citizens Bank Park. Previous Philadelphia All-Star Games were held at Shibe Park in 1943 and 1952 and at Veterans Stadium in 1976 and 1996. This year's event also coincides with the nation's Semiquincentennial celebration, creating another layer of historical significance for the city.

Phase One voting remains open through June 25. The top finishers at each position will advance to Phase Two, which begins June 29 and concludes July 2. Starters and full All-Star rosters will be announced July 4.

For now, the numbers offer an early glimpse into how fans view the host club.

No Phillie currently leads a position.

But seven rank among the top four vote-getters in the National League, ensuring Philadelphia will remain a significant part of the All-Star conversation over the final month before baseball's showcase arrives in South Philadelphia.
