Philadelphia Baseball Review - Phillies News, Rumors and Analysis
Nick Castellanos
The Phillies can clinch their second consecutive playoff berth on Tuesday with a victory over the Pirates at Citizens Bank Park.

Aaron Nola will be on the bump for the Phillies. First pitch is set for 6:40 p.m.

A win puts the Phillies in the postseason. The club can also clinch a spot tonight with a loss if the Cubs lose to the Braves, the Marlins lose to the Mets, or the Diamondbacks lose to the White Sox.

The Phillies can also secure home field advantage for the best-of-three Wild Card series with a victory tonight, and either the Cubs lose to the Braves or the Brewers beat the Cardinals. The Phillies enter tonight riding a five-game winning streak.

Last Time Out
The Phillies swept the Mets in a four-game series for the first time since June 24-27, 2019 and have brought their magic number to clinch a postseason spot for the second straight season down to one. It was Philadelphia’s first four-game series sweep overall since August 22-25, 2022.
