Philadelphia High School Power 10 Baseball
The high school season is nearing its mid point and some local teams are starting to really separate themselves from the pack. Listed below is our most recent edition of the Philadelphia Area High School Power 10. 

No. 1 Malvern Prep (15-2, 2-1): The Friars fell short against rival Episcopal last week, but have strung together three straight wins and appear as dominant as ever. (Previous Rank: No. 1)

No. 2 Father Judge (10-0, 5-0): The Crusaders are sitting atop the Catholic League and have some outstanding hurlers on their staff, allowing just 18 runs this season while tossing five shutouts. (Previous Rank: NR)

No. 3 Haverford School (12-3, 0-2) The Fords two losses were to Malvern Prep and Penn Charter. (Previous Rank: NR)

No. 4 Pennsbury (7-1, 4-1): The Falcons walloped on Council Rock North earlier this week. The one loss came against a quality Council Rock South squad earlier this month. (Previous Rank: No. 5)

No. 5 Episcopal Academy 5-1: The only local team to knock off Malven Prep, the Churchmen also have wins over quality teams in Archbishop Carroll and Conestoga. (Previous Rank: NR)

No. 6 Penn Charter (6-1, 1-0) The Quakers lost to a solid Holy Ghost Prep club earlier this month, but followed that with a win over Haverford. (Previous Rank: No. 7)

No. 7 Archbishop Wood (7-3, 4-1) The Vikings are averaging nearly 10 runs a game and have been one of the most consistent clubs in the region this season. (Previous Rank: No. 8)

No. 8 La Salle College (6-2-1, 4-2) The Explorers have scored 78 runs over nine games. They’ve dropped two games by a total of three runs. (Previous Rank: No. 9)

No. 9 Methacton (7-1, 5-1) The Warriors beat Owen J. Roberts and Spring-Ford over the past two weeks. Their lone loss came against a quality Pope John Paul II team. (Previous Rank: NR)

No. 10 Avon Grove (8-1, 7-1): The Red Devils beat Henderson earlier this month and have outscored opponents 63-21 this season. The club’s lone loss was a 3-2 defeat against a decent Unionville club. (Previous Rank: NR)

Dropped Out: Bonner-Prendie, Henderson, Hatboro-Horsham, Owen J. Roberts, Coatesville.
