Transactions: The Phillies traded for outfielder Cristian Pache on Wednesday, sending minor league hurler Billy Sullivan to Oakland. The 24-year-old outfielder was once considered one of the best prospects in baseball, but he's floundered offensively and has posted a .439 OPS since his debut in 2020. He's not yet joined the club, so he's not listed on the Opening Day roster.
Injury Updates: The Phillies placed right-hander Nick Nelson (left hamstring strain) and left-handers Cristopher Sánchez (left triceps strain) and Ranger Suárez (left elbow strain) on the 15-day injured list on Thursday . . . The club reinstated right-hander Noah Song from the military list and placed him on the 15-day injured list (back sprain) . . . Bryce Harper was placed on the 10-day injured list (recovery from right elbow reconstruction/repair) while Rafael Marchan (right hamate fracture) was placed on the 60-day injured list.
