West Chester scored four runs in the first inning, and starting pitcher Joe Sperone tossed six solid innings, leading the Golden Rams to a 5-3 win over Mercyhurst on Saturday.
The Golden Rams scored four runs in the opening frame with a J.R. Gifford two-run double being the highlight.
Joe Kaleck finished the day with two hits.
Julian Costa hurled three scoreless innings in relief, allowing one hit while sitting down a pair.
West Chester will face Pitt Johnstown on Sunday.
