For the week ending on April 25, the Philadelphia Baseball Review recognizes a duo from Cabrini with infielder Steven Priest as Player of the Week and hurler Mike Valerio as Pitcher of the Week.
Priest finished the week 7-for-14 with two doubles and 12 RBIs. He's now hitting .457 on the season with three homers and 30 RBIs.
Valerio tossed a complete-game shutout for the Cavs against Neumann on Saturday, surrendering three hits and one walk. He whiffed nine. Over his previous two outings, he's riding a 17 innings without surrendering an earned run.
