Villanova's Wilkinson and La Salle's Smith honored by Philadelphia Baseball Review
Each Tuesday during the regular season, the Philadelphia Baseball Review will honor a Division-I Freshman and Reliever of the Week. These honors are not based entirely on statistics, but rather the value delivered by a player throughout the week.

For the week ending on February 16, the Philadelphia Baseball Review is honoring a pair of freshman, La Salle's David Smith as Freshman of the Week and Villanova freshman Danny Wilkinson as Reliever of the Week.

The Philadelphia Baseball Review names winners each Tuesday throughout the college season.

Smith finished the weekend at Furman 4-for-11 and scored four times while driving in a team-high five runs. The Perkiomen product also swiped a pair of bags for the Explorers.

Wilkinson tossed 3 2/3 scoreless innings while surrendering one hit to help the Wildcats knock off No. 9 Arizona State on Saturday. He collected five strikeouts and was named Big East Pitcher of the Week.

Founded in 2006, the Philadelphia Baseball Review covers all aspects of baseball in the Philadelphia region.
