Matt McGeagh and Matt Kennedy win Philadelphia honors
The Philadelphia Baseball Review released its College Player of the Week awards for the period ending April 23.

Penn junior third baseman Matt McGeagh was named the Philadelphia Baseball Review's Hitter of the Week while Saint Joseph's freshman right-handed pitcher Matt Kennedy was named Philadelphia Baseball Review's Pitcher of the Week.

The Philadelphia Baseball Review names winners each Monday throughout the college season.

McGeagh finished the week for the Quakers 6-for-19 (.316) with nine RBIs, four runs scored, a pair of doubles, a triple, and a homer. He leads Penn on the season in RBIs (36) and slugging percentage (.511).

Kennedy tossed 6 1/3 innings for the Hawks in a 2-1 road loss to Rhode Island. He didn't allow a hit until the seventh and allowed just one run, though unearned. He struck out a pair and didn't walk a batter.
