Utley to sit out home opener with the flu; Ruiz to hit third

Chase Utley is dealing with the flu and is not in Tuesday's starting lineup. According to a team source, he was sent home from the ballpark earlier this morning.

Cesar Hernandez will start at second base.

As for the batting order, Carlos Ruiz is slotted into the three spot for the first time in his career.
