Each week throughout the college baseball season, the Philadelphia Baseball Review honors standout performances across all divisions with our College Player and Pitcher of the Week accolades, spotlighting the region’s top talent and exceptional achievements.
Our D-III Offensive Player of the Week, Joe Boccio of Neumann, put together a stellar performance, hitting .563 (8-for-15) during a 2-2 week, including a 2-1 mark in the opening weekend of Atlantic East play. Of his eight hits, five went for extra bases—two doubles and three home runs. The junior drove in nine runs and scored seven.
In a 15-12 loss at Washington College, Boccio went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, three RBIs, and three runs scored. Against Immaculata, he went 5-for-11 with two homers and a double, driving in six runs and scoring four as the Knights secured the series win, 2-1.
On the mound, Eastern sophomore Graham Adams is our D-III Pitcher of the Week. The Lumberton, N.J., native delivered a dominant outing in a win over Albright, tossing 7 1/3 innings while allowing just two runs on four hits. He struck out seven and lowered his ERA to 2.86 on the season. Opponents are hitting just .214 against him this year.
For nearly a decade, the Philadelphia Baseball Review has been dedicated to recognizing and showcasing the region's top amateur talent. Stay tuned each week as we continue to celebrate the standout players making their mark on the college baseball landscape.
