The Philadelphia Baseball Review revealed its Offensive Player of the Year honorees on Wednesday night, chosen by a committee of local coaches, scouts, and baseball officials. The Pitcher of the Year honorees will be announced on Thursday night.
Division I
Wyatt Henseler, Senior, 3B, Penn
.372, 22 HR, 55 RBI, 0 SB
Henseler, the 2024 Ivy League Player of the Year, was named the Ivy
League Tournament's Most Outstanding Player after hitting .375 with
three home runs and 10 RBIs over the five-game weekend. He set the
program's all-time doubles record (50) and the Ivy League's
single-season home run record (22). During Ivy League regular season
play, Henseler led the conference in batting average (.438), OPS
(1.479), runs (31), home runs (10), total bases (73), slugging (.913),
and on-base percentage (.566). He holds the Quakers' career and
single-season records in hits, runs, home runs, and RBIs, and set Ivy
League career records in both homers and RBIs earlier this year.
Division II
Anthony Boccio, Graduate, OF, West Chester
.400, 3 HR, 48 RBI, 17 SB
Boccio, the PSAC Eastern Division Athlete of the Year and NCBWA Regional
Player of the Year, hit .400 over 52 games and 155 at-bats, with 10
doubles, 5 triples, and 3 home runs. His 48 RBIs ranked second in the
conference. Additionally, his .553 on-base percentage this spring is the
second-highest single-season mark in West Chester baseball history.
Division III
Anthony Bruno, Junior, DH, Arcadia
.352, 13 HR, 81 RBI, 5 SB
Bruno led the nation at the Division III level with 81 RBIs. He also finished second in the MAC Freedom with 13 home runs and 54 runs scored, and tied for fourth with 14 doubles. He also posted a 1.148 OPS over 21 games in conference play, swatting nine dingers to go with 51 RBIs.
