NOTES
Head coach Kevin Burdick thrives on challenges, which is why it's no surprise that he and Widener are gearing up to tackle a grueling four-game stretch to kick off the 2024 schedule. Their upcoming opponents include the formidable No. 7 Shenandoah for two matchups, followed by tough single contests against No. 10 SUNY Courtland and the powerhouse No. 2 Salisbury.
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the region, the Cavs are preparing to embark on their final season in program history, commencing with a face-off against Clarks Summit this Saturday. These two teams haven't crossed paths since 2019, where the Cavs dominated both ends of a doubleheader, triumphing with a combined score of 30-6.
With head coach Nick Weisheipl at the helm since the program's inception in 2015, the Cavs have carved out a respectable legacy, boasting a commendable .586 winning percentage (139-98).
